Yep, solid point about the spawns. In fact, one could assume the reason the spawns in this franchise are consistenly so horrific, is because they find it impossible to come up with a spawn system that matches up with how people decided to play these games. Most likely they initially didn't expect people to run around like Rambo, they probably figured teams would work together and hold down an area (leaving FFA for those who wanted to play on their terms), allowing the opposition to spawn in a safe area on the opposite side of the map. Considering very few people care about team play, this entire system is shot to crap as you noted.
Countless times I've told "rushers" to go play FFA, that's essentially what they're doing in TDM anyway. It would never happen but I'd love a feature where those who die too much on a consistent basis would be booted from the lobby. Players having horrible games should significantly slow things down, maybe choose a small section of the map to cover instead of running around like a fool, in order to help the team. But this would require patience, something the COD community lacks (primarily because so many of the players are young) so it will never happen.
