I brought one of these up in my other post, but here are some more:
- Place a Trophy System and attach an IED to the spinning mechanism. It will blend in and no one will notice. The trophy system will deflect as usual, while the IED will serve to protect it from someone that may come up to it to knife it. The effect is a Sword-and-Shield combo, and if you add the Danger Close perk, it will be even better. (This is a great combo to use in Domination from a hidden point. The enemy will notice the usual C4 they threw was blown up and go check on the Trophy system, then BOOM!)
- Get into the habit of throwing your IEDs UP rather than forward. It is often easy to notice an IED from faraway without even the beeping if it is on the wall or on the ground or even "inside some boxes", because it flashes. If you attach it onto a ceiling, however, the enemy will not see it. The well-known rule, "people seldom look up," applies fairly well here, since many levels have buildings.
- Due to the "being able to use equipment while fully hiding behind a shield" thing, do not walk directly AT an enemy holding a shield. Chances are he is not going up to you to try and bash you, but rather, he is going up to you to throw either a knife or a C4 in mid-air explosion mode.
- If you come across a few campers, do not knife either. Instead, shoot them, even though it will reveal your position. The knifing animation has made it impossible to quickly knife people in this game unless you have a pistol with Melee Knife as an attachment. You will, more likely than not, be killed by one of the other guys, and lose your chance at a good 2 or 3 kill ambush without having to reload. (Also, you cannot trust the game is showing you in which direction the guys are ACTUALLY looking at the moment you arrive. There are connection compensation issues all the time.)
That's all for now. Thanks for reading. This is a great discussion.
