Meh, I joined a clan for the first time in Ghosts.. and they are never on when I am on.
Haven't had a problem playing lone wolf, even during clan wars. Maybe the modes you play are impacted more heavily? I play HC TDM primarily and while some matches during Clan Wars can be intolerable, there is also great satisfaction in beating a full squad of clan members with a group of randoms.
